The Wysor Street Depot welcomes you!
The Gale Tschuor
Company of Yorktown was the General Contractor for Wysor Street Depot
project. They began construction on April 16, 2003. Since then, they
have completely rehabilitated this wonderful building, inside and out.
The Depot is open to the public and is home for the
Cardinal Greenway, Inc. office and conference room, as well as exhibits, gift
shop, local art, historical memorabilia, and a model train display (set up
by the Muncie and Western Model Railroad Club on a custom table built by the
Central Indiana Joint Apprenticeship and
Training Committee).
Visit depot history (link at bottom of this page) for more information on
this historic building.
Special thanks to the
Saint Gobain Group
and CertainTeed Building Products,
who donated the Depot's unique Ludowuci
clay roof tiles. Their generosity enabled us to reproduce the Depot's
original clay tiles—and saved us well in
excess of $100,000.00 dollars!
You can help with the Depot operations
expenses through the purchase of a Depot brick! Your brick will be displayed
at the front of the Depot around the flag pole.
